Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your quake history in general?

My name is Nikolaj Dahl. I'm 31 years old, and i live in Copenhagen, Denmark.
I started playing NQ about 1 month after it was released back in...when ever the hell that was. Didn't really like it much to begin with, but all the other llamahs in the cyber caf� switched so i kinda had to switch too (from duke nuk'em =)~~). Not in any clans though. I started playing q3 when it got released and instantly discovered that TDM was utter crap and started to play ctf on ffa servers. Played a bit of q3ctf in capulets, with Juliet and Will. They kinda idled and I decided to try and start a q3ctf division in CN. We joined BW and I mail spammed Bigfoot whining about being put in div 2 or div 3. And for some reason (maybe for laughs) he put us in div1 in our first BW season ever.

Can you tell us a bit about your CTF history?

Uhm I only played CTF in Q3 so i guess there is not many stories to tell.

Did/Do you play TDM/1on1/ra3?

I've played 2-3 TDM games for WR back when Liech was short of members. I had to stop though because the sheer boredom almost killed me. There is almost more mg spam in TDM than in CTF, but at least there is less ammo for the MG and it doesnt hurt so bad as in CTF.
Oh, wait, I don't play 1on1 and I most certanly don't play RA3/CS.
I'd rather get gang raped on a daily basis by 200 pound niggers on EPO than ever play a single round of RA3/CS.

CN is very good clan who proved to be one of the best european CTF clan from last months. Can you tell the strong points of CN that make you have such good results, and if it exists the weak points?

I'm not sure what the strong points are, maybe it's experience at this point.
Weak spots are.... uhm well we idle a lot and we lost loads of players. Players like kami, forsberg and will. And of course all the swedes buggered off after loosing the clanbase final.
If we are ever gonna get a cap ever again we need pracs. Thing is I can't be arsed setting pracs up. Takes loads of time and in the end they probably get cancelled. People not showing up, server arguments, etc, etc.

How often do CN practice in a week? And what is your goal in next bw season?

I think we played 10 pracs this year, you go do the math on that one.
We played in BW, CB, that silly german league which I cant remember the name of and Savage so you could say that all the prac we got was from league games. And being top idlers we never spend much time talking about tactics and stuff before the games. It was hard enough getting ppl on the server anyway.
I'll settle for a top 3 spot in next BW season, but it looks pretty hard with all the new l337 teams joining.

What qualities make a good CTFer, and which ones make a good team, according to you?

Uhm dunno what makes a good ctf'er.... well forget about stats. It's not about frags or personal stats but it's about being at the right place in the right time, doing stuff for the team. A good ctf team would consist of l337 tdm'ers (no stats wh0res) in defence, and some experienced attackers. Frag skillz seem more & more important these days but I really don't have a clue. Next question ffs :/

Can you compare Q3CTF to previous CTF quakeworld, and quake2ctf. I mean better points, weak points?

Good sides:
It's more fun than tdm.
There is nothing else to play
Bad sides:
1. 5on5 increases chances of the spawn-right-next-to-the-flagcarrier-and-wack-him-with-the-lame-MG factor.
2. There is hardly enough armour and items in general for 5on5 on any maps.
3. MG damage and spawn ammo is just downright ridiculous. The new compilation map pack aint to hot either (but I seem to be the only one that doesnt think they are God's creation to the Q3CTF scene so I'm of course all wrong about that......too)

What do you think of clan like WR or xYz who are new to the CTF scene, but built with accomplished CTF players. Which one would you consider as the strongest one ?

Tough one..... I havent played any of them so I wouldn't really know. A team can look strong on paper but perform poor when on a server. Don't know if any of them prac very much but I guess my money is on WR despite the fact that they are all sons of crackwh0res and clanjumpers and I hope they fall on their arse every morning they get outta bed. But it depends on the maps they meet on and the usual MG spam and lucky spawns.

About the savage euro, what is your general feeling about that event?

It's a good publicity stunt for q3ctf and I think the staff did a great job considering the rather difficult conditions (endless server arguments etc). Except for yodaz & hazzi who were of course as corrupt as......as.....as a CB admin. Only thing that will ruin it for me is if there is no LAN finals. Then it's just another online league and then I couldnt care less. Looking forward to see some of the smart asses from irc in real life.

Team DK managed to qualify for lans finals to be held at savlan 2 in mid august, with also england, belgium and germany. How do you think you will do vs these teams, and which one are you fearing the most?

Don't fear any of them.... when we get the same ping as the opponents for once it's gonna be A WHOLE DIFFERENT BALL GAME.

And at last, do you play CS or/and tribes2, and why ?

I don't play any of those games although I've tried both. I had high hopes for tribes 2 but got quite dissapointed. And CS is a joke or maybe it's the scene that ruins it for me.I played a fair bit of Urban Terror lately and am looking for a clan, but havent had any luck yet.
I'd rather get gangraped etc. etc. etc.
I might drop it again after seeing the supposedly best Q3UT making CS'ers out of themselves on Cicatrix forums. I could use another game though, cause q3 is rather boring now.
For me anyway. Not that I feel that my learning curve has peaked or anything. It's just.....well.....crap.
