LakermaN_of_SC.... does it ring a bell? Of course it does.. This QW legend have done it again! He's now Nordic 1on1 Champion and I got the fine opportunity to interview him!
Here it comes!

 

Manson: Congrats to your winning of 100.000 SEK! How did you feel after the final?

LakermaN: Thank you. I felt very relieved and happy after winning the final.

Manson: We saw a different pattern in your map-choice on NC, if you compare to XSI. How come?

LakermaN: At XSi I didnt feel comfortable at all on tourney2, now I feel very confident on all maps so I just pick whatever map I think is my opponents worst.

Manson: You totally raped Treble in the final. Some people in Sweden thought it would be vice verse. Any comment?

LakermaN: Maybe Treble didnt play up to his standard but Im pretty hard to stop when Im playing at my top level. Some people seem to think my winning days are over after my performance in Dallas, I can tell you they have only begun :)

Manson: Have you ever played that good like you did in the final against Treble?

LakermaN: I managed to play very good throughout the whole tourney, especially the last 4 rounds. The first 3 rounds were a bit shaky but after that I got hot. I dont think Ive played that good before in q3 because Ive never been this good before in q3. These last few weeks after Dallas I switched mouse and my game improved a lot.

Manson: What mouse are using right now? got it from a sponsor?

LakermaN: Im actually using [NWO]Ambix mouse right now which is a Logitech wheel mouse usb

Manson: The quake-community got very dissapointed when you ended up in 25-32 place at the CPL. We wanted to see you in the top 10.
What happened?

LakermaN: Everyone seems to think I would have done much better if I hadnt gotten dm6 twice, the truth is I just played really bad in that tournament. I had problems with sleeping because I had been to a LAN in Paris the day before I left for Dallas so even though I was really really tired I couldnt fall asleep. I also seem to play better when the games are best of 3, I get more relaxed then.

Manson: Are you going to CPL-Europe in Stockholm? And if... what is your expectations?

LakermaN: Im going. If its best of 3 this time and I play well Ill be dissapointed if I dont finish top 3.

Manson: It's a big discussion about Q3, the lack of maps and it's to boring to watch, in the quake-community. What do you think about Q3?

LakermaN: I think Q3 is fun. The maps arent that great, especially dm6 imo ;). I agree that Q3 demos arent that exciting to watch but hopefully that can be solved with better maps

Manson: What about Pro Mode?

LakermaN: I havent tried it yet. Im actually pretty happy with the way Q3 is now but it would be cool with pro mode as well if its fun

Manson: Are we going to see you playing some clanwars ahead?

LakermaN: I hope so :)
