| Tray: When did you start playing quake? |
Faust: I started playing a fair while ago now. I remember my brother used to play back in the days of ctf on camtech. I started not long after that. I think it was the same time as when you had those funky doberman rockets and shambler bombs. I think people will remember those. There were a few reasons that I started to play Quake. To beat my brother cause he gets way pissed off when I woop him, and also cause Quake had no cheating at the time. Online cheaters piss me off.

| Tray: Where did you start playing quake? |
Faust: How did I know you would ask me this. Multiplay is the answer that you were looking for. I had been playing a little while before Multiplay started but the addiction did not come along until the best dial up service ever for Quake was started. Actually I think I was one of or their first customers. They had the best interface such as the Multiplay game browser which I have kept just incase Multiplay made a comeback. POLARBEAR DID TEN SUCKED. Sorry for the outburst... Pinman was the first person I played on Multiplay as well.

| Tray: Who showed you how to play |
Faust: There were many players on multiplay that I learnt from. No one showed me how to play as such but you learn a great deal and you become good from playing good people. Multiplay had all the good players of the time and I think many people were shocked when they played a lot of the people from Multiplay cause they had not seen us on the net really. Flint, ummm I mean Tim was a Multiplay boy as well as Crow, Titan, Snot, Spoz, Womb Raider, and I have to mention Masterman. Fuck Multiplay was just the best.

| Tray: Where you always known as Faust, why did you pick that name ? |
Faust: I have been known as Faust for years now. I basically got it straight out of school when I quit uni and started working at an arcade parlour called Intencity. What a piece of shit that place was but I got to play games for a year and really practice my Street Fighter Skills :P. We had to choose alias's and I decided to go with Faust. If you want to know more about Faust go here as it has a short summary. The guy kicked all arse. Basically in one tale of it, he sold his soul to the devil for everything he every wanted. Lived an awesome life and then his soul got saved when he broke the pact with the Devil. I basically want it all and dont want to have to pay for it. Also Faust is a comic by Rebel which is a tale of the classic battle between Mephistopheles and Faust. Basically Faust has to kill heaps of people and fuck chicks while Mephistophele kills people and Fuck chicks. It is a classic.

| Tray: What clans have you been in? |
Faust: Blood Angles which I started with My brother. We then merged with Clan Demonic and formed Bad Mojo. (Fuck we kicked arse) And that is it. I have been faithful :)

| Tray: Do you enjoy playing any other game/qwmod aside from dm/duel |
Faust: It sounds like you are saying that I like duel. I fucking hate duels. Team DM, DM, CTF are the only way to go. Well I will have to say I liked duels when I beat Harsh at Gibcon but that was only 1 game I have ever enjoyed. And everyone likes Clan/Rocket Arena.

| Tray: What do/did you do to practice, |
Faust: Well what I would do is constantly woop you and make you my bitch tray. :) hahaha (u can take that bit out). I just played and thats all. Demo watching makes me sleepy so I never learnt off that. Basically I played way too much and failed many exams because of Quake. Anyone who quit Quake to study basically SOLD OUT :P hehehehehehe

| Tray: If there were specific things you practiced how long per day did you practice em. |
Faust: Yeah I spose I used to just ran around the levels and practice jumps and shots for a little bit each day. Especially when I could not play on the net. Mainly I got good from playing over 4 hours a day on some days and never sleeping.

| Tray: Do you have any advice for the budding quake(1 2 or 3) players out there, on how to improve. |
Faust: Lans lans and more lans. They are the places where you can talk face to face with other people who love the same thing as you. You also get to pick up soooo much advice and you can learn so much from it. I think lans are the way to go.

| Tray: In your opinion whom is the best ever quake player in Australia |
Faust: Blah questions like this really suck to answer cause the game is so Ego loaded anyawys. I would have to say I was fucking impressed by Bro the most. At Invisage my first comp I played in he just sat there and chatted in a 20 min game for about 12 mins before he started to play and he still won. I would say that was cause I was not playing in that game he won but then there is that ego thing I mentioned.

| Tray: How many competitions have you been in? and which have you won? |
Faust: Invisage - Won all the DM games but lost in the duels cause I hate em and they suck I tell you. Woooooo but I think I was the real winner on this day cause I made Sumfuka get up and leave cause he could not handle me singing, Would you like to swing on a star while I cained him. Gibcon - Came second in the Team DM comp. Impulse98 - First in Team DM. OMG this was amazing cause after the game we all went and watched the demos on a movie screen and it was fucking spectacular to see youself woop arse in a finals game and have everyone cheering while you watch. Au Selection Trials - First in Team DM Village Challenge 1 - We won the Team DM. One of the best games we played as a team. The team really changed the way that team games were played. Awesome team.

| Tray: You were in the second au team along with timmy, wombraider and JaC. What made that team so good? |
Faust: Yes to the first bit. The team was good cause we just clicked as a team. We played and practiced heaps and Tim created the secret DM3.doc file while we had to study which was awesome. Little piccies and all. Playing with these guys was good fun as well which just made us flow better. Seriously though I think the team really picked up and became strong with the addition of Blind. Womby had to leave to find real life and Blind took over and we never regretted it thats for sure. Hmmmm if only we had the old team in Village Challenge 2.

| Tray: Do you think that Au can build an AU team from 4 of "the best duelers" or should it be the best clan. |
Faust: This has been discussed sooooooo many times. I believe that being a dueler can make you play too much of a solo game and not as a team which is needed when you really lockdown a level tight. Duelers usually have very good control and skills though which can benifit. You can see the pros and cons with everything. The way it should be done is to have a comp and the team that wins be it a clan or just a team for the event should play for AU. I would be happy with that. Look at the old Au team. We had 2 clans make one good team and eventually it was 3 clans will the addition of Blind. Practice will make the AU team no matter who wins the right.

| Tray: How do you think the community should go about rebuilding the quakeworld scene? |
Faust: Cable has done alot for it so far. As the old Quake players see that Q3 is losing its fun and that pretty lights dont make a game they will come back. We have seen many people such as myself go with Q3 for a while and then wake up and come back. I think we have to start by getting clan wars again to make it more personal. Everyone got so into duels and I think the scene (fuck I hate saying that) really lost something. Duels feed egos and also makes it too individual. Being a team player it had always pissed me off that for winning the Duels you could get a brand new pc and for the team you would just get a steering wheel. Mind you it is still going and is quite fun. But it aint the same. QW will be back stronger but I think the main thing is that it will never go completely. There will always be the die hard fans out there who cant find anything to replace it. Q2 will die fully and eventually will Q3 but QW will always be here. Well thats IMHO of course :)
