I got the opportunity to interview him after the CPL where he finnished 7th as 2nd best European, here it comes!

Manson: First of all, I have to congrat you to your seventh place at the Dallas CPL and the winning of $3000. What was your expectations before the tournament?
DOOMer: Thanks, in fact I didn't have the highest expectations because I have played a lot of CounterStrike recently, which resulted in bad Q3 trainings. But a couple days before the CPL I got rid of my slump and found my play. I was going for the top ten, but wasn't quite sure if I'd make it.

Manson: What do you think about tournaments like CPL where you play pretty much for the money, instead of the love for the game?
DOOMer: I think it's very good that there are tournaments involving money. It's a step in the right direction for games to become a sport. Even if the game that's played isn't the most popular... Quake 3 is so new so you have to take what you get and then maybe later in the future there are more tournaments with more kinds of games

Manson: What do you think about CPL-1map system? And is there any map that you don't think fits in the CPL?
DOOMer: This time the system was very bad. It was much about luck, having the right map against the right opponent. Best of 3 games is more fair and demands that the player has more map-knowledge. The map choice was good except for DM6, which should be taken away.

Manson: In the losers bracket you faced Blue on his favorite map, t4 (ok.. that's just my theory 8) ). What was on your mind at that time?
DOOMer: I think Blue basically is the best player in the world on t4 and fortunately for him, he succeeded to get it 5 or 6 times in the tournament :)

Manson: Who was according to you the biggest surprise respectively the biggest disappointment?
DOOMer: PowerK was a big surprise. Hadn't heard about him before and he played amazingly during the entire tournament. I think that Lakerman was the biggest disappointment. He won the qualify in Denmark and also ended up first in a tournament in France. He was pretty unlucky having two DM6, but I expected him in the top 10.

Manson: What's your future Q3 plans? And will we see you in CPL-Stockholm?
DOOMer: Yeah, I'll be there. I'm gonna put a lot of time into Q3 the three upcoming months since there about five big events within that timeframe. After that we'll see what happens.

Manson: Who is your dream-opponent in a possible final in CPL Stockholm, and on which map?
DOOMer: Blue on t4. And hopefully I'll beat him this time :)
