Ambix Interview
With the second edition of the Eurocup starting in two weeks, we kicked off with our first interview: Ambix from the 'new' clan Allstars (who got second at the London Battletop event) is our first victim. He're is what he had to say:


<Insanity> For starters, tell us something about yourself :)
<Ambix> I'm 18, live in stockholm.. well almost. started playing quake2 with a 28.8 modem and switched to quake3 as soon as it got out and started playing from quadarena, a netcafe in stockholm so now I just own everybody because of my ping.


<Insanity> How do you feel about your second place at the Battletop London Challenge, where you lost against clan9 due to the -if I may say so- incompetence of the Battletop-organisers'?
<Ambix> I think it's a great thing! We've got like tons of attention because of this and I get like 2 billions of messages a day on irc regarding this.


<Insanity> How exactly were the Quadarena Allstars formed?
<Ambix> Basically I wanted to start playing duels seriously so I needed some guys to practice against. LakermaN and proZaC used to come to QuadArena quite often to practice with me and we got along great so we started talking about playing teamplay together aswell. LakermaN said he had a friend (NutCase) that was a great player aswell so we invited him too to QuadArena and started playing.


<Insanity> What other leagues or tournaments will the Quadarena Allstars be playing in in the near future ?
<Ambix> The only other league or tournament for teamplay I know about right now is Frag4 and it looks like we won't be going because of lack of time to practise. We're working to solve that though so there's still a slight chance we'll be there. I'm sure we'll participate in most of the tournaments that pops up.


<Insanity> What are your expectations for the upcoming Eurocup ?
<Ambix> I guess it depends on how much practice we will get, currently having some problems with that, but we're aiming for the finals anyway.
<Insanity> What position are u aiming for ? just to put a number on it ?
<Ambix> 1
<Insanity> ok :p


<Insanity> How do u see the future of the q3 scene ? will these high profite tournaments like battletop and cpl last?
<Ambix> Gaming seems to get bigger and bigger all the time so I'm sure there will be a lot more tournaments in the future.
