| DonKing: To an outside observer, it would appear you peeked at QuakeCon, where you made a name for yourself coming in 5th place. What you placed at BT NY and Babbages since must have been frustrating. Do you think you peaked? |
]km[propolys: At Babbages CPL, the quality of players was far above any other tournament, and I believe I am on my way up... I lost two close games to good players. I think the next tourney I will do better for the experience, example: in my game vs. Dy-Syng I had an early lead and on a map like dm6 I could have easily camped somewhere, but I didn\'t have the balls to. And I wasn\'t aware losing to Sujoy on t2 in overtime was peonish :p
| DonKing: Clan Knightmare has been around for a few years, how did the clan get started and when did you join? |
]km[propolys: The clan was started by a couple of guys in Alabama, during NQ days, who didn\'t like the traditional bitching and whining so rampant in clans popping up at that time. We have been around for 4 years, 6 months.
| DonKing: ]km[serm finished in the top 12 at Babbages, do you guys practice a lot together and did you think he would do as good as he did? |
]km[propolys: Yea we practiced together a lot, I was surprised he did so well but very proud and happy for him, he appears to have balls of steel and a tough mind, not intimidated at all
| DonKing: Do you prefer team games or duels? |
]km[propolys: I really hate dm7, but team games on dm6 are great. I also enjoy duels vs. good players a lot though, so it\'s a tough call.
| DonKing: What do you think the future of Quake 3 competitions will be, duels or team games? |
]km[propolys: I think it will remain duels for the foreseeable future simply because team competitions are limited to a select few groups that are able to practice together and have all their starters attend an event. Even if a clan practices together over the Internet, it will put them at a severe disadvantage vs. LAN clans. But with the frag4 of precedent, I think those are on the rise as well.
| DonKing: What is the next q3 competition you will attend? |
]km[propolys: Good question, probably the next CPL event that they hold qualifiers for :o
| DonKing: You have played many good players like cloak, revenant, and zero4 to name a few. Do you think zero4 has what it takes to remain at the top? |
]km[propolys: I think the top has gotten very crowded lately, and I doubt that anyone is a \'sure thing\' to win any large-scale tourneys. I think anyone in the top 8 or 12 has the potential to win the next one. There\'s always an element of chance in games, two players of roughly equal skill could make it go either way..
| DonKing: Were you surprised that fatality didn\'t win Babbages? |
]km[propolys: Going into the tournament, I expected fatality to win because of his performance at CCPL, but once I started playing with the attendees and watching first and second round games, I really didn\'t think he had too much of a chance to come out on top this time.
| DonKing: Do you see yourself being sponsored in the near future? |
]km[propolys: Sponsored, eh? I am not a top-tier player by anyone\'s measure, but I like to think I can compete with any of the 2nd tier (perhaps win a bit too) so I guess it\'s just whom I know and what happens.
| DonKing: Very seldom you can be seen asking for a QW 1v1 game, do you miss QW? |
]km[propolys: I play a game of QW once or twice a month, but I have to admit that I enjoy q3 more.
| DonKing: Have you ever played CPM and if so what do you like and dislike about it? |
]km[propolys: I haven\'t played CPM enough to comment
| DonKing: Is there anything else you would like to mention? |
| ]km[propolys: Yea, Don King has a hot ass and km is eternal :p |
